I happened to pass by the newsstand today and something caught my eye – the SPRING / SUMMER 2011 issue of Men’s Style magazine that has Ashley Greene (Alice Cullen from Twilight) on the cover. It was only $10.95 for 162 pages of glossy 80-gram magazine and of course, Ashley Greene!
This issue is really cool. It has an article on the Louis Vuitton Maison Opening, back home at Marina Bay (Singapore) attended by superstars like Vivian Hsu, Hidetoshi Nakata, Jessica Gomes and you won’t believe this – Chow Yun Fat! Also, a review on the brand new BMW 1 Series M Coupe in addition to the fashion article with my favourite denim brand, G-Star Raw.
My favorite article in this SPRING / SUMMER 2011 issue of Men’s Style Australia is BOUNDARY RIDER, where Thom Browne talks about the way he revolutionized the way men dress around the world.
Everyone’s saying “Suit Up” after watching How I Met Your Mother (CBS). You can say Thom Browne is the Godfather of Suits. If not for his vision in 2001, we would still be wearing distasteful “Dick Tracy Suits” in the CBD.
You’re Doing It Wrong!
In addition, there is a Suit Buyer’s Guide from pages 89 to 97 to equip you with the skills, tips and knowledge every man requires to look and be his best.
You guys should know from my FaceBook display picture that I’m an eyewear fan. Yes, what you see in the photo above is one of the latest Louis Vuitton aviators. Here’s the good news! According to the article, Thom Browne’s latest collaboration with DITA Eyewear presents a range of 20 new eyewear styles which will hit the stores this month. I have already spotted one that I intend to buy next week.
“Suit Up” right with men's fashion magazines!
