FÊTE DE LA MUSIQUE

what: Free music everywhere. Fête De La Musique is a live, one-day music celebration presented byBrisbane City Council in association with Brisbane Marketing and Alliance Francaise. The event isaimed at enhancing the scope and diversity of musical practices in all the musical genres. Translation: Free music of all types, by the people, for the people.

when: Tuesday, 21 June, 7am to midnight

where: More than 81 venues across Brisbane. In the true international spirit of Fête De La Musique this willinclude non-traditional or unique places for music such as buses, cafes, grocery stores, artgalleries, libraries, museums, outdoor areas, CityCat terminals and bridges.

who: 215 musical acts – signed and unsigned, established and new, famous and emerging - performingfor free for 20-50 minutes at designated location
