Brisbane Meals - Day 24 (Monday)

Lunch after school was at
HANAICHI sushu bar + dining

Its conveyor belt concept
like Sakae Sushi, Sushi Tei etc etc
Its a pretty new and unique experience for Aussies here

A5-size menu
Variety of food is not fantastic
2 types of Udon and a few more pages of a la carte dishes
such as Kaisen Salada, Shake Shioyaki, Buta Kakuni and Gyu Niku Tataki etc

Sushi Chef prepares Nigiri Sushi(s) a la minute
Of course the most popular handroll of all ages - Kalifornia Tamaki

Wasabi can be found in little sachets on the conveyor belt
Moist Sticky lil packets, not very spicy but still - horseradish-worthy
Soya sauce to go with wasn't authentic Japanese
Green Tea (Hot)
AUD 2

Shake Nigiri Sushi (Salmon)
AUD 3.30
Fresh mouthful of creamy salmon
complimented with Japanese Rice
Delicious!

Unagi Nigiri Sushi (Eel)
AUD 4.50
Wasn't quite impressed with the Unagi
It was too soft and mushy for a grilled dish

Nabeyaki Udon
AUD 13
Presented in a nice hot clay pot
Udon noodles were tasty and to the teeth
Generous servings of ingredients such as
Chicken Chunks, Fragrant Mushrooms, Fish Cake etc
and a piece of Shrimp Tempura
Shrimp did not taste fresh and crunchy
(like in high end Japanese establishments)

Green Tea Ice-cream
AUD 3.50
Probably bought in a tub
Definitely not freshly prepared
Overly creamy and lacks tea flavor
And there was chip in the bowl - How dangerous!

Total Damage: AUD 26.30 for 1 pax

General Ratings
Food Quality: 7.5/10
Food Presentation: 8/10
Value for Money: 9/10
Ambience: 8/10
Service: 9/10
Return Factor: 7.5/10
Other Remarks: A lil disappointed, but it was good value for money!

Dinner was with the Singaporeans
at BEACH HOUSE bar + grill
Meyer Center

Its a self-service restaurant
On Mondays, they have a
Rump Steak Special
at AUD 8.90
with purchase of a drink

So we got ourself a
Carlton Draught Super Jug

AUD 11
4 glasses in a Super Jug
so its like a mini-barrel

We were given a buzzer
when our food is ready for collection
the buzzer beeps and vibrates like a pager

Monday nights were pretty busy
but we see mostly Asians around
Cool Asians, not the uncool smelly ones

We ordered Medium Rare but it came slightly Rare
Kai ordered Medium Well and it came Burnt
Guess they were too busy
So I would really recommend coming on other days of the week

But yeah.. We had a great time!
